War Food Administration
(WFA)
   Established on 21 June 1943 within the Department of Agriculture and headed by Marvin Jones, the WFA was responsible for ensuring the full production and distribution of food to meet essential needs during World War II. Beginning in 1943, the WFA was responsible for the Mexican workers imported under the bracero program.
